I know, a statement like the one in my headline above is something, we seldom think about ourselves. We tend to frown on some individuals who unashamedly flaunt self-love and at the same time we teach our children to do just that, when we tell them that God never makes mistakes and that every person, creature, and element of nature was created perfectly and I quote:”And when he had finished his work, He said that his creation was good.” GOD SAID THAT HIS CREATION WAS GOODWell, I am here to tell you, that no matter how insignificant, worthless or even unattractive you may feel right now, YOU ARE AWESOME, AND HE LOVES YOU.If someone seems less perfect, God permitted it to be, so others can lift them up, even Jesus said, that the poor and wretched, will always be with us, for that very reason. Could a being, as awesome as our Creator, of every single molecule, visible or not, of perfect energy have an imperfection? PERFECT ENERGYThere was a certain Biblical person who was lame, lying next to the “healing pool” of Bethesda or Salome’ (It matters not which) when Jesus spoke to him, he did not ask him whether he was sick, because that much was obvious, he did ask him, though, why he was lying there. WHY ARE YOU LYING THERE? PICK UP YOUR BED AND WALK!And the man had several “Lame” excuses, blaming everyone else but himself. Jesus, instead of offering to carry him to the water, asked instead:”Do you want to be healed? And the person must have indicated in the affirmative, them Jesus says this first weird thing, He tells him, to stand up, pick up his bed and walk. You see, the man had through his actions, climbed into the “special” symbolic water of life, which was none other, than the crystal clear words Jesus speaks, which we all need to be submerged in, namely:1. Standing up for something, a righteous cause2. Picking up our beds, which are our responsibilities as human beings3. Walking headon, undaunted as in Psalm 23 Oh, and the second weird thing Jesus said, further on when he met the man in the “Temple”, Jesus rebuked him saying:”See that you don’t go back to your old ways again! You see, when we make a stand about something worthwhile, we actually meet Jesus inside the “Temple”, meaning, up there inside our skulls, or at (Golgotha the Mount of Skulls)- on sacred ground.
